Wedding Guidelines
The guidelines for weddings and funerals are here for your review. These guidelines must be completed on paper and reviewed with the Parish Office prior to scheduling a wedding or funeral. Please call us at 816.842.5440 for more information. Or send an email to the pastor or to the parish secretary.
The following guidelines are addressed to the bride and groom and the bridal party to help them realize the significance of the Catholic wedding as a prayerful and religious experience.
Requirements for all couples:
Before making any commitment for your wedding contact your parish priest and the pastor of Holy Rosary even though Holy Rosary’s pastor will not be performing your marriage.
We can book a wedding and accept the deposit ONLY after the couple has been interviewed by their pastor or other priest and he has informed the pastor of Holy Rosary that they are eligible for the marriage sacrament. Non-parishioners must have their parish priest prepare them for Marriage Preparation and that he or another priest will perform their wedding ceremony.
The Wedding Fee at Holy Rosary Church for Parishioners:
A $400.00 fee is required. A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required when the wedding is booked. The balance is due two months prior to the wedding. A parishioner is a person who has been a member of Holy Rosary Parish for one year and has contributed at least $500.00 when the wedding is booked.
The Wedding Fee for Non-Parishioners:
A $850.00 fee is required. A $350.00 non-refundable deposit is required when the wedding is booked. Full payment is due two months prior to the wedding. Couples who are registered in another parish need to ask their pastor to do the preparation and to perform the marriage.
