Service to the Ill and Infirm
The pastoral care of people who are unable to attend church because of age or illness is a very important part of the parish ministry. I make regular visits to parishioners who are ill in the hospital, nursing homes, health care facilities and at home. I provide the sacraments of the church or I just like to pay a visit and give a blessing.
I was in the hospital several times and I appreciated the visit of a priest or lay person. Holy Rosary has also trained lay ministers who can provide pastoral service. There is only one requirement. Please, inform the parish office of your need or desire, otherwise we have no way to know.
Columbus Park Plaza has requested a monthly prayer service and communion for the residents and the celebration of the mass on special occasions and I was happy to accept their request. The dates for the service are posted in the residents' monthly calendar.
